SEXY SANTAS
Longtime friends Carol Campbell and Belle Bradford lose their jobs right before the holiday season. To make matters worse, Carol sprains her ankle after tripping over an heirloom Christmas ornament while decorating her Christmas tree. Having to stay off her feet while recovering, Carol wonders whether she’ll be able complete her holiday “to do” list in time to give her son Jimmy a Merry Christmas.
While helping Carol complete some tasks, her brother Tony jokes that it’s too bad Santa Claus doesn’t make house calls. That’s when Carol comes up with an idea for a new business that hires out men dressed as Santa to help people with household chores during the busy holiday season: “Sexy Santas.” Carol shares her idea with Belle, who suggests that Tony should be their first “Sexy Santa.” Initially, Carol thinks Belle is joking, but then Belle points out how handsome and talented Tony is. She adds, “Plus, he’s got great abs.” Together, Carol and Belle convince Tony to join their team and recruit some of his friends to audition as well. When they begin interviewing men to work for their company, Carol and Belle meet Joe DelVecchio, a sexy carpenter who easily repairs one of Carol’s kitchen cabinets that has been broken since her husband Rick passed away years earlier. Despite his superb woodworking talent, Joe and Carol start off on the wrong foot. Joe thinks she is stubborn, and Carol thinks he is cocky. Nonetheless, Belle sees the value that Joe brings to the company and begins to assign him tasks. As the company takes off and the townspeople come to love the services of “Sexy Santas,” Carol’s feelings for Joe soften, especially as he grows closer to Jimmy, who sees him as a father figure. At the same time, Belle acknowledges her romantic interest in Tony, whose wit and charm have captured her heart. However, Carol cautions Belle to be careful because Tony’s ex-girlfriend broke his heart. When Carol and Joe team up against Belle and Tony in one of the town’s Winter Festival competitions, the couples solidify their relationships. However, after attending the festival’s Snow Globe Gala, the couples question their futures. When Joe suggests that his lonely but talented grandfather Rob DelVecchio become a “Sexy Santa,” Carol turns him down because of Rob’s age; she sees him as a liability. Joe becomes offended and suggests that Carol doesn’t always put others’ needs ahead of her own. Carol gets upset that Joe questions her judgment and parenting. The argument results in Joe leaving the company. After talking with Belle and reflecting on her past relationship with Rick, Carol realizes that Joe might be right and that sexy men come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. She visits Joe and explains that after Rick died, his parents tried to take Jimmy away from her. Ultimately, Carol retained custody, but she has resented Jimmy’s grandparents ever since. She apologizes for wrongly taking that anger out on Rob. Meanwhile, Tony shares his past with Belle and, together, they decide how to move their relationship forward. After welcoming Joe back to the company, Belle and Carol decide to diversify their hiring to include senior citizens from the local retirement home. Rob and Jimmy connect, and Rob becomes like a grandfather to Jimmy. When Carol, Joe, Belle, Tony, and Jimmy celebrate Christmas together, Rob makes a surprise visit dressed as Santa with a handmade gift for Jimmy. Tony presents Belle with a special gift that reminds her of Christmases past, and Joe presents Carol with the heirloom Christmas ornament, which he secretly repaired. With Tony and Belle looking on, Carol shares a kiss under the mistletoe with her “Sexy Santa” Joe and looks forward to celebrating more Christmases with him at her side. |
