CROWN POINT SYNOPSIS

Acquitted of killing his daughter Bella's fiancé Bruno Romano, Diego Alvarez celebrates his freedom, but not for long. As he leaves the courtroom and gets into his limousine, the car erupts in a fiery explosion, killing him.

Detectives Michael Martin and Patrick Moran, having just closed the Romano case, now open the investigation into Diego's demise.

As the search for Diego's murderer commences, his children position themselves to take over the helm of Alvarez International.

Believing himself to be the rightful heir to his father's throne, Diego's eldest son Mateo warns his siblings that he will become the sole head of the company one way or another. Diego's fiancé Kristen Lee encourages Mateo to do whatever is necessary to take control of the company while Kristen herself seeks revenge against her ex-husband Daniel.

Diego's twin children, Hugo and Bella, cope with their father's death in their own different ways. Having lost her fiancé and now her father, Bella falls into a state of depression. Hugo views the death of Diego, who never accepted him a gay man, as an opportunity to move ahead in the family empire and perhaps reunite with his ex-boyfriend Patrick. Meanwhile, Regina, Diego's youngest child, puts into motion her own scheme to seize the family dynasty.

Daniel Dalton, head of Dalton Foods and rival of the Alvarez family, seeks to purchase Mathison Farms from its owner Cody Mathison before Alvarez International can acquire it. He makes Cody a generous offer; however, Cody doesn't want to get caught in the crosshairs of the Dalton-Alvarez feud and needs time to consider the deal.

In the meantime, Daniel's son Joseph, an internationally famous model, looks forward to his wedding to Regina, who is pregnant. When Joseph suggests to his father that the upcoming wedding could finally bring the two families together, Daniel becomes enraged and reminds his son how the families became rivals in the first place.

Daniel's husband Liam Brady, who owns the modeling agency for which Joseph works, hasn't spoken to his own son Lance in a very long time. Liam asks Joseph to reach out to Lance in the hope that he can help mend the relationship between father and son.

While Joseph seeks out Lance, Regina sleeps with Cody and persuades him to enter into a business agreement with her company instead of Daniel's. At the same time, Daniel visits his sister Connie, who is the source of the two families' rivalry, at the long-term care medical facility where she is receiving treatment.

Michael suggests that Patrick remove himself from the investigation due to his past history with Hugo; however, Patrick wants to find justice for the Alvarez family in the hope of winning back Hugo. At the same time, Michael finds his feelings for Bella growing as he tries to comfort her during her depression.

As Joseph and Regina's engagement party approaches, Michael reminds Kristen, Mateo, and other prominent Crown Point residents that they are all suspects in Diego's murder. During the party, Joseph catches Regina and Cody in a romantic embrace, causing him to question her fidelity. At the same time, Eva St. John, Diego's ex-wife, arrives at the memorial, startling Kristen and Mateo. And Victor Romano, Bruno's father, carries out his plan for revenge, putting several members of the Alvarez family in peril.
